Residential complex in Verga, Kalamata
The residential complex includes two autonomous two-storey houses and is located in Verga, the closest settlement to Kalamata in Messinian Mani. Its morphology is inspired by the traditional Mani architecture, with the houses being organized in two distinct stone volumes - towers, which are intertwined through the semi-outdoor and outdoor areas following the steep slope of the ground. The local Mani stone, the stone floors and the soft color tones follow a simple aesthetic that aims to harmonize with the landscape. At the same time, the bioclimatic design of the buildings and the integration of smart house technologies ensure excellent living conditions and energy savings.
